Our Story

We named our company Kaenae (pronounced ki·ə·naɪ) after an adventurous 10 day bikepacking trip in Maui, Hawaii. The most memorable moments we had were at the Ke'anae Peninsula where we spent hours admiring the breathtaking landscapes and hoping that we could live there one day. While we haven’t quite settled in Hawaii yet, that idea of being inspired by our surroundings has stuck with us. That’s why we made Kaenae Desks. We want to offer you the possibility to work from anywhere that inspires you, be that a bustling downtown plaza or the breathtaking landscapes of Ke'anae .

We are based in San Francisco, CA, and spending time outdoors has always been at the heart of our happiness and lives.
